Grand Challenges in Fungi-Plant interactions

Fungi develop interactions with plants, ranging from detrimental to beneficial (mutualistic) associations, playing a major role in natural and agricultural ecosystems. These interactions may have in fact a great impact on the agriculture, the environment, and, consequently, the economy. Novel information could be exploited to optimize beneficial associations to develop new plant protection strategies.
