abstract:
The article presents the main study methods adopted and, in some cases, developed by the Climatology working group of the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Turin. The methods used are extremely useful in the processing of long-term daily weather data in order to carry out a correct climate analysis, in the evaluation of trends and in the identification of climate indices. These methods are fundamental to monitor the advancement of climate change and associated studies and to develop scenarios on climate change, combining instrumental climate data with Regional Climate projection Models (RCM). Numerous articles are also cited, in which the methods and the results obtained in different climatic and geographic areas are discussed.
