Magnetization and specific heat of classical ferromagnetic chains in a field: crossover between two regimes

A theoretical approach, previously introduced to threat the statistical mechanics of a classical ferromagnetic chain in a field, has been extended in a systematic way to give the crossover from low-field to spin-wave regime. The results are in quantitative agreement with numerical transfer matrix data.
