abstract:
Great advantages are being offered to the geological study of the terrain by use of remotely sensed
images of the Earth surface. In particular, polarimetric SAR images add considerable information
to the interpretation of morphological features.
This paper shows some preliminary results of a classification and interpretation experiment on
polarimetric SIR-C images acquired on October I994 over an apulian area in the north of the city
of Bari.
