Reviewing recent research and industrial achievements, in this chapter we summarize the main features of orange oil as a biopesticide. We conclude by suggesting arguments for which the employment of this valued natural product as an environmentally friendly biopesticide
will be a central tenet of the emerging bioeconomy not only in organic food production, but also in conventional agriculture, where it will replace a number of synthetic pesticides.
