abstract:
Thermal and thermoxidative degradation reactions in poly(bisphenol a carbonate) were investigated. The reactions were analyzed by matrix assisted laser description ionization time of flight (MALDI-TOF) and mass spectroscopic techniques. The overall structural information obtained suggested that the pyrolysis residue was constituted of thermal rearranged sequences which undergo aromatization and cross-linking processes obtaining graphite-like charred residue.
