abstract:
In a previous Nature Communications paper, we have found a CO2-SiO2 solid solution obtained by a reaction of CO2 with a purely SiO2 zeolite at extreme conditions: 20 GPa and 6000 K. After that, another group have been questioning our results, saying that indeed we were obtaining a spurious reaction from the CO2 reactant material and the gasket material: Re. In this reply, we accept this view and recognize our error
