Using high level languages for local computer network communication: a case study in ADA

This paper is focused on the design and implementation of an inter-node communication mechanism for distributed programming on local computer network architectures using a high level language. Ada has been chosen and its suitability to cope with inter-node communication will be discussed. A new communication mechanism has been developed using Ada abstraction mechanisms.
