Towards a Kinetic Theory of Cortical-Like Neural Fields

abstract:
In this chapter the basis of the Kinetic theory of neural fields are exposed. A basilar, minimal set of biological neural features have defined. They are used to construct a mathematical model, based on statistical-physics methods. Some results of the application of the theory to cortical neural fields, in particular to attention and learning , are presented.
