An Historian of Philosophy and His Civil Commitment: Tullio Gregory's Contributions in the Periodical Press. Tullio Gregory's activity has always been characterized by a strong civil commitment which has accompanied his sci- entific activity. It has developed within common coordinates with his articles in the periodical press (secularity of research, rejection of any clerical or ideological conditioning, etc.). The essay deals with some of the topics devel- oped in Gregory's contributions in newspapers and other writings in order to define a more complete cultural profile of a protagonist of Italian culture of the last fifty years. The paper is concluded by a bibliography of Gregory's writings on some Italian newspapers.
