Abstract:
Normalized Jerk (NJ) and Coefficient of Periodicity (CP) are motor control, kinematics-based, sampling frequency-dependant performance indexes used to evaluate neuro-motor rehabilitation tasks [1]. In clinics, NJ and CP can be calculated with marker-based systems, that record kinematics at high sampling frequency. With the aim of evaluating motor performances at home with a Kinect sensor, the effect of the change in sampling frequency on NJ and CP was investigated during the execution of reaching movements against gravitary.
