ATP: a Legacy of the Past, a Challenge for the Future

The Agreement for the Transport of Perishable foodstuffs (ATP) was born on September 1, 1970 in Geneva. The current text is in many respects quite similar to the original one; so the question is if the Agreement, after almost forty-five years, can still be considered the international benchmark for the refrigerated transport. The answer must be affirmative, despite the numerous contradictions.
