Studio mineralogico di sedimenti sabbiosi oligomiocenici vulcanoderivati a Nord di Avolasca (AL)

Three sandy layers intercalated into a marly formation of late Eocene - early Miocene age are studied mainly from a mineralogic point of view. Their volcaniclastic nature are discussed. Compositional comparisons are carried on with analagous volcaniclastic sandstones (late Eocene - early Miocene) in western Alps and northern Apennines and with volcanic rocks of calcalkaline affinity in Sardinia (Oligo-Miocene) and South western Alps (Oligocene).
