In the Italian academic and publishing scene, the figure of Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz appeared in the second half of the last century; however, it was after the third centenary of her death when she became an increasingly stable presence in both scientific and informative production. The initiators of the studies dedicated to thenun were, in the beginning, renowned academics; however, in the following decades, many scholars approached the Tenth Muse for the permanent value of the character and her work, and that we outline here.
