Chapter 9 - Nano-Liquid Chromatographic Separations

Chapter
Publication Date:
2017
abstract:
Nanoliquid chromatography (nano-LC) is a recently developed miniaturized chromatographic technique offering some advantages over conventional high-performance liquid chromatography. It is applied to the separation and analysis of a large number of compounds of interest in various application fields such as proteomics, pharmaceutical, environment, chiral, food, etc. The main features are discussed in this chapter. The instrumentation usually employed in nano-LC is illustrated by considering problems that arise when using low mobile phase flow rates and capillary columns with internal diameter < 100 ?m. The second part of the chapter presents some selected applications published during 2011-16.
