In the half of XIX century the spread of the studies on the clinic scientific knowledge on Favism, the great acute hemolytic anemia, begin. This long time from first half of the nineteenth century to the half of the next century is studded with both their small, and great goals. The great many protagonists in its first fifty years of the history are Italian physicians; more precisely, Sicilian, Lucan and Calabrian physicians.
