abstract:
Exrensive synthesis and accumulation of total RNA and proteins may be one of the factors involved in the improved rate of seed germination by osmotic presowing treatment. The control of lag-phase before early DNA synthesis by means of different osmotic treatments may be of relevant importance in sythetic capacity impro vement and then in promoting more favourable physiological conditions in seed embryos before the start of germination.
