New challenges in source separation for cosmology images

Conference Paper
Publication Date:
2010
abstract:
We provide a view of the current research directions in source separation for recovering cosmological components in multichannel measurements of the sky. We identify fallacies of standard source separation approaches to the cosmology problem and discuss important challenges which require the development of new methodology for source separation. In particular, we discuss nonstationary source separation and dependent source separation.
