This article is devoted to a group of Sardinian Jesuits who played out their missionary duties in the Jesuit Province of Paraguay in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, founding reducciones, writing basic dictionaries of indigenous languages and acting as real cultural mediators between the Indios and the European Peoples in a very important historical period, during which there was, among other things, the passage of the Kingdom of Sardinia by the Bourbon dynasty to the Savoy dynasty and the dissolution of the Society of Jesus
