abstract:
A review. Dimethyldioxirane as a selective oxidizing agent capable of epoxidn. of various alkenes, arenes and oxidn. of alcs., ethers, amines, imines and sulfides was discussed. The efficient oxyfunctionalization of simple ''unactivated'' C-H bonds of alkanes under extremely mild conditions was highlighted.
