On the Thermal and crystalline behaviour of poly(hydroxybutyrate-co-hydroxyvalerate)"

Poly(/3-hydroxybutyrate) (PHB) and its copolymers poly(/3-hydroxybutyrate-co-/~-hydroxyvalerate) (PHBV) are naturally occurring polyesters that have been isolated from Alcaligenes eutrophus [1, 2]. These microbial polyesters are thermoplastic, biodegradable and highly biocompatible, presenting, also, interesting physical and mechanical properties.
