Ordine naturale e ordine storico. La legge di natura e i principi della storia nella "Scienza nuova" 1725

Trying to isolate the value that the idea of law of nature takes in the Vico's thought and in particular in the development of a new methodology for a new science, this essay traces the theme of the order of nature in the New Science 1725. For this purpose, the relationship of Vico with natural law and with the philosophy of Spinoza, and the critique to the thought of Grozio, Pufendorf, Selden and Hobbes, will be particularly important to define the originality of Vico'sphilosophical proposal. The result will be a new science, that is the history, considered starting from the principles and no longer from the laws of nature.
