NetCDF into GIS: the good, the bad, and the ugly

We present our experience in making scientific datasets stored as netCDF files available to GIS applications, using an OpenGIS Web Coverage Server (WCS) and a library that translates georeferenced netCDF files into the GeoTIFF format.
