abstract:
We present the SO(3) decomposition for the longitudinal structure funcions in a homogeneous shear
flow by using high Reynolds number experimental and numerical data. We show how scaling laws
differ from the isotropic case due to the mechanism of turbulent kinetic energy production while
eventual anisotropic contaminations are excluded. Finally scaling laws in the anisotropic sectors
are addressed. Here scaling exponents are shown to be dependent both on the sector and on the
projection index, respectively.
