Tracking in tempo reale di parametri audio nei sistemi multimediali

Conference Paper
Publication Date:
2007
abstract:
Abstract Pitch and other audio parameters can be detected in various ways depending on the specific application (codifying, segmentation, classification, etc,) and the type of musical signals to be analyzed. This paper addresses real-time tracking of the pitch and RMS of an audio music signal for the purpose of controlling certain video effects in a multimedia system for artistic performance (Pandora System Project). Pitch tracking is more difficult than RMS measurement, especially when low latency is required. For our purpose was adopted the fast-autocorrelation algorithm, carried out in the time domain, and thus attaining satisfactory precision. Some graphic results will be presented along a demo live with sound samples.
