Nota su Petalifera petalifera (Rang, 1828) (Gastropoda, Opisthobranchia, Aplysiomorpha), specie mediterranea poco conosciuta. Considerazioni sistematiche, ecologiche o biogeografiche.

The authors report the finding of various specimen of Petalifera petalifera (Rang, 1828) in the sea of Sorrento (NA). The shell and the morphology of the animal are described and short mentions of its anatomy are given. Is reported on its preferenzial environment, its presumable diet and its geographical distribution. The behavior of Petalifera petalifera in aquarium with direct ecological and ethological observations is described. The systematic placement of this species and of the famili Dolabriferidae Pilsbry, 1895, is discussed.
