Territorio e spazi politici

The issues discussed in this paper on the territory and political spaces arise from the political dimension of territorial autonomy as envisaged in the Constitution. The intention is to check the hypothesis of a tendency towards a functionalistic idea of the territory. A functional and non exponential idea of the territory runs the risk of marginalizing in particular the role of the democratic-representation principle. While in the constituent Assembly this idea did not prevail ? even though it never stopped exercising its influence on Italian regionalism right from the start ? it may very well now take the upper hand.
