Investigations on particular Josephson devices shading light on more fundamental issues

The purpose of the present work is to discuss aspects of some Josephson structure configurations mainly related to the context of radiation detectors. The challenging theoretical and experimental implications encountered in the realization of such devices offer the chance of an interesting merging with new concepts and potential which go far beyond the specific application.
