This paper examines a clay tray found during the first days of excavation of the Siderospilia necropolis at Prinias. The tray has a moulded bottom featuring the image of the Master of Lions. This study focuses on some specific aspects: the technique of production, the shape, the stylistic framework of this tray and the interactions between pottery and metalwork in Iron Age Crete.
