Abstract:
Pediculus humanus capitis is an obligate ectoparasite that lives on human hair and feeds on the blood from the skin. Pediculosis is a world-wide public health concern affecting persons of all ages and socioeconomic backgrounds. Prevalence of head louse infestation is increasing because of the impact of insecticide resistence.
