Practices of documentation are currently used in Italian ECEC services and they are an important part of ECEC practitioners' work.
This paper discusses how the use of a tool of narrative documentation, based on a systematic observation's activity of children's experience during their everyday life in ECEC setting, could support practitioners' processes of reflexivity, reinforce collegiality, and promote improvement of educational practices in ECEC services.
