abstract:
The focus of the poster is represented by the key features of FishDataNet (FDN), that is a fishery information system developed in 2019 and populated with national data from June 2020 until the end of 2021.
FDN is a web-based application implemented to centralize storage, submission, and access of fishery data collected to accomplish various national or international agreements and regulations, like EU Reg. 1004/2017 (DCF), FAO-GFCM Recommendations for contracting parties of DCRF. We remark three main requirements FDN meets: the first is to serve managing needs of sampling units with different collection competencies, tasks, and geographical scopes; the second is to build a single ICT tool for quality checks and delivery of national data according to specifications of various end-users which are set up and updated every year; the third is to store both aggregated and detailed data to operate further data analysis and estimates through web services
