The aim of this study has been to examine first two spongy bone tissue samples starting from microtomographic
images and then carrying out the analysis through the use of mathematical morphology's theory. This approach has
been considered really interesting as it correlates the morphometric and structural parameters proposed with
mechanical properties of bone, which depend from the spatial organization of trabeculae. Some indicators has been
introduced as following: the curve of trabeculae size distribution and the curves of connectivity. These indicators,
which allowed to characterize the internal structure of bone tissue, had given evidence of the physiological and
pathological nature/origin(?) of the samples analyzed.
