This book of abstracts includes the contributions of participants to the second conference of the COST action "PlantEd", a project dedicated to the genome editing technology in plants. This COST action promotes dissemination, discussions and connections towards the latest research innovation forefront in this strategic topic. The conference hosted sessions about the application of genome editing in various types of economically important plant species as well as the latest technological advances. The conference was organized by DiSBA-CNR and held in Lecce on 20-22 September 2021 with the local organizer committee of ISPA-CNR, Unit of Lecce.
