Atomic Force Microscopy in colloidal and biological systems

Atomic force microscopy is widely used to investigate the topography of materials and quantify molecular forces. In this chapter the principles of such technique are introduced as well as its use on biological and colloidal systems such as bilayers, cells and polyelectrolyte capsules.
