Recovery of phenolic compounds in citrus wastewaters by nanofiltration membranes

Conference Paper
Publication Date:
2013
abstract:
In this work nanofiltration (NF) membranes have been investigated for the treatment of citrus press liquor and bergamot juice (a by-product of the bergamot essential oil production) in order to recover phenolic compounds from these wastes. Results related to the performance of investigated membrane in terms of productivity, antifouling properties and selectivity towards compounds of interest are presented and discussed.
