abstract:
A heat pipe is a heat exchange mechanism that can transport large quantities of heat with a very small difference in temperature between the hot and cold interfaces by means of evaporation and condensation of a fluid. Porous wick structures exert a capillary pressure on the liquid phase of the working fluid. A loop heat pipe evaporator (LHP) was realized with concentric wicks with tailored porosity.
