Abstract:
Expanded vermiculite was used as lightweight filler to produce precast insulating panels. A chemically activated inorganic binder (geopolymer) allowed mold casting and consolidation at temperatures not exceeding 80°C. Boards of 55cm x 47cm x 3cm were produced.
