Abstract:
Neon trimer 3D photoionization has been studied using a new quantum time-
dependent model based on a wavelet expansion (WLE) of the time-dependent
vibrational self-consistent field (TD-VSCF) equations. A detailed
description of our approach is discussed. Dissociation probabilities,
final vibrational populations of the fragment molecules, together with
time snapshots of the angular distributions during fragmentation, are
analysed. The role of the internal vibrational rearrangements occurring
during the fragmentation process that follows the photoionization event is
discussed in some detail and found to be of importance.
