abstract:
At present, climate change is a "hot topic" of discussion for both policy-makers and common people. In mass media one can find the most different opinions on this topic. In this paper, we go down from the level of opinions to thta of scientific information and present a brief analysis of the modelling method for the study of climate. This allows us to understand novelty and cultural importance of this activity, that applies the Galileian tradition to the complex climate system by modern instruments (computer as a "vitual laboratory"). In this framework, only a strong background of scientific culture can suggest founded answers to present questions.
