A system for territorial data Processing

The SINTER system, designed for territorial data processing, is presented and a number of examples of analyses made using this system are given. SINTER has been designed and produced within the "Informatica" Special Project of the Italian National Research Council. The system hardware and software structure is modular and acquisition, processing and restitution operation can be performed on graphic or pictorial images.
