abstract:
A fast and convenient method for the measurement of the angular distribution of the radiation emitted by a cylindrical arc flashlamp is described. The use of an array detector permits single shot measurements. Simple extensions of the method for time and wavelength resolution are discussed. The same experimental setup is convenient for the measurement of the intensity angular distribution for rays propagating in an axial plane. Results of these measurements are also presented.
