Il verbo AVERE nell'italiano antico: aspetti semantici e morfosintattici in margine alla voce del TLIO

Academic Article
Publication Date:
2018
abstract:
This contribution examines the different linguistic functions of the Verb Have in the ancient Italian, which from active verb, with a transitive government of the object and its own semantic nucleus well defined within the conceptual definitions of 'possession', it is grammaticized till the reaching of an extreme limit like the affix status. This function of grammaticization comes out even more clearly through the reading of the entry "avere" included in the Tesoro della Lingua Italiana delle Origini (TLIO) and the many examples, offered for each meaning and distributed over the different linguistic varieties of the Middle Ages.
