Longitudinal and transverse structure functions in near wall turbulence.

We address the issue of the existence of scaling laws for longitudinal and transverse structure functions in near wall turbulence and give an interpretation of their physical origin, by discussing data acquired in the inner region of a turbulent boundary layer over a flat plate (Re? ? 2200).
