The essay proposes a reflection on the poems of Giambattista Vico and traces the various phases of the poetic production of the Neapolitan philosopher. The purpose of the discussion is to highlight the fact that the ideas that Vico expresses in his most important works (De antiquissima Italorum sapientia, Diritto universale) and especially in the Scienza Nuova are repeated in the verses, which the philosopher recited in the Academic and in the salons of Naples, thus guaranteeing a more widespread diffusion of the personal thought.
