Abstract:

The use of computer assisted sperm analysis provides a rapid and quantitative assessment of sperm quality. The motility parameters of sea urchin (Paracentrotus lividus, Lamarck 1816, Echinodermata, Echinoidea) spermatozoa have been analyzed by the SCA (Sperm Class Analyzer) system in order to evaluate its usefulness to monitor the effects of toxicants in ecotoxicological tests
