A single PLL-IC allows a double AM-FM demodulation

The possibility of obtaining a double amplitude-frequency modulation and demodulation by means of a simple circuitry is attractive in telemetry fields. A solution is presented where the AM/FM modulation/demodulation is performed by the use of a single phase locked loop (PLL) integrated circuit (NE501).
