L'inventario delle opere di sistemazione e bonifica fluviale effettuate nel 900 nella provincia di Cosenza.

The work presents the first results of an historical research in progress concerning structural works aiming at both land hydraulic reclamation and defence from floods in Cosenza district, a sector of north Calabria (Italy) having an area of 6464 sqkm including 155 municipalities. Historical data have been obtained from the archive of Civil Engineers of Cosenza, according to an agreement between this last office, CNR-IRPI and ODA (Observatory of environmental documentation - University of Calabria). This agreement allow us to obtain the sectors of the above said archive concerning all the structural works realised starting from 1899 in the Cosenza district. The work shows the methodology used to transform the huge amount of paper documents in a digital archive, also using a GIS approach to the scale of the basin and some elaborations of collected data to the district scale
