A review of the encyrtid (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea, Encyrtidae) parasitoids of Dryinidae (Hymenoptera: Chrysidoidea) with description of Cheiloneurus olmii sp.nov.

Four genera (Cheiloneurus, Echthrogonatopus, Helegonatopus, Hypergonatopus) and 31 species of encyrtids that are known to attack dryinids are reviewed. Two new generic synonymies, three new specific synonymies and ten new combinations are proposed. One species of Cheiloneurus is described as new and five species are redescribed. A lectotype is designated for Cheiloneurus (=Echthrogonatopus) pachycephalus. A dichotomous key is presented to facilitate the identification of females of Cheiloneurus parasitic in dryinids. Each species is further characterized by a diagnosis and figures and notes are provided on their distribution and hosts.
