La valorizzazione del territorio e delle sue risorse materiali e immateriali legate al tessile: esperienze in Europa e in Italia

The results reported in this publication regard the research activities run in MED Laine project on the enhancement of the value of wools produced by native sheep breeds of the province of Grosseto, Tuscany. Such activities are part of the Italy-France Maritime Cross-border Program 2007-2013. According to the rural development policies adopted by the Province of Grosseto, the research on field has concerned native sheep breeds-as important resources of local biodiversity -, the recovery of wool, the starting up of a short textile supply chain for sustainable wool products made by local resources and closely linked to Maremma typical environment and culture.Technical analyses provide this report with useful data for characterizing and further developing textile products which need to be promoted through proper territorial marketing strategies
